This pretty tiny house in Funchal not only impresses with its central location, but also presents itself as a quiet oasis in the middle of Madeira's lively capital, as it can be reached via a small footpath and has an enclosed courtyard with a terrace. It was recently restored and renovated inside with great attention to detail. The current owner bought the furniture on the island from traditional craft workshops, for example solid wood and wicker chairs, the bathrooms are modern and equipped with walk-in showers, and a custom-made fitted kitchen with beautiful solid wood details and an induction stove was fitted into the open kitchen. The walls are painted snow-white or light blue and form a beautiful contrast to the dark wood of Madeira. The house looks bright and friendly inside and is ready to move into immediately. Traditional details of the house, such as the elaborately crafted window frames and shutters as well as wooden doors, have been preserved.

When you enter the ground floor through the front door, you are greeted by an astonishingly large room with a fireplace and an open kitchen. The thick stone walls of the old Madeiran architecture keep the tropical heat out. Through a small passage, which also has a laundry room with washing machine and hot water boiler, you reach the beautiful little terrace, whose outdoor kitchen with sink and stone oven invites you to a BBQ. There is also a bathroom with a walk-in shower on the ground floor that can be used as a guest bathroom. A wooden staircase leads to the first floor of the house with two bedrooms decorated in blue and white - one of which has a built-in wardrobe - and another bathroom. From one of the two bedrooms you step out onto a spacious balcony that offers space for many plants and under which a levada babbles along.
The house is ideal for personal use, but also for renting to holiday guests who are looking for peace and relaxation in the middle of the capital and still want to be able to reach the city center quickly on foot. A bus stop is within sight and a walk through Santa Luzia's noble villa district with beautiful old mansions and one of the city's main parks, where the chimney and machinery of a sugar cane factory can still be seen, as well as many native tropical plants in different themed areas, tells guests a lot about the glorious history of past eras of the Pearl of the Atlantic, as well as about the magnificent flora of the flower island that blooms all year round.
